It was Saturday~ Instead, it was a PINK Saturday afternoon with SKINZ™ UV White~!

Last month, I was pleased to be invited to attend SKINZ™ UV White Blogger Exclusive Beauty Workshop which was held at Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe @ Sunway Pyramid.

The beauty workshop was held in a hidden-secret-private room. It is cozy, nice decorated with a hint of romantic yet sophisticate ambiance.

Okay, I'm going a little over the top here but I personally feel that this is just a RIGHT place to hold an event like this for a group of gorgeous ladies, in a lay-back Saturday afternoon.

Benefit Beauty Workshop - Part 2 (Makeup Products Review)

Makeup Product 1 : The POREfessional

Description :
Quickly minimize the appearance of pores. Oil-free formula. Apply this silky, lightweight balm for translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smooth skin. Pores...now you see 'em, now you don't! Complements all skin tones.

My Says :
Having visible large pores is definitely a big NO especially after makeup is done. This product does magic to disappear my large pores after application. I am quite satisfied with that result on top of the lightweight and oil-free formula. I was told that it can be used either under or over makeup. Pretty good product I would say.

Makeup Product 2 : "That Gal"

Description :
This silky pink primer (brightening face primer) takes your complexion from dull to darling! Simply smooth on for the look of brighter, smoother skin. One shade helps brighten all skin tones. Can be worn alone, under or over makeup.

My Says :
This is the product I LOOOVE the most~! When I was first introduced to this product, I was surprise that this primer is PINK in color, which turn out to be the key of success to this product. It gives me a natural pink glow with raspberry scent (yummy!) without feeling greasy. 

It can be applied with or without makeup and give me a radiance, flawless-looking skin. I would say this is an essential and every girl must-have product. Will definitely grab it into my makeup porch.

The tester is hitting the pan. LOL~

Makeup Product 3 : Some Kind-A Gorgeous

Description :
It is an oil-free, cream-to-powder finish fakes foundation... It's silky, even perfection for your complexion. Comes in three shades & each shade has its own color packaging. Compact includes application sponge and mirror for touch-ups on the go.

My Says :
It is creamy in texture yet giving me a lightweight complexion. But be aware of the amount applied, as it may turn out to be quite heavy if too much is applied (at least for me). Anyway, I didn't use much of this foundation as I have applied "That Gal" primer beforehand and was totally amazed with the result.

Makeup Product 4 : Boi-ing

Description :
This industrial-strength concealer camouflages dark circles, shadows and discoloration for a seamless, natural-looking finish without creasing or fading. You name it, Boi-ing helps hide it!

My Says :
Nothing much to conceal except for my acne scars as I have previously concealed my dark eye circles and large pores with other products (mentioned above). I like the fact that it gives me a non-cakey and non-oily finishing. Coverage wise? It scores an average rating from me.

Makeup Product 5 : Erase Paste

Description :
This concentrated, creamy concealer brightens and camouflages in one easy step! Targets dark circles, discoloration and imperfections. Three shades with brightening melon undertones to suit every complexion. Comes complete with a fully illustrated, step-by-step lesson and mini-spatula for easy application.

My Says :
Another product of concealer from Benefit. I didn't try this out as I have oily-combination skin and was intimated by its creamy texture. Anyway, I don't need it too as I have chosen Bo-ing as my concealer.

Makeup Product  6 : Benetint

Description :
The original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips and cheeks. It's the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle!

Naturally sheer and sexy on all complexions...innocent yet provocative. Originally created for an exotic dancer in the 1970's, Benetint has soared to cult fave status. It's loved by celebs, makeup artists and gals around the world! This rosy glow lasts for hours.

My Says :
Benetint is a rose-tinted lip & cheek stain which is also known as a star-product of the brand. I was first afraid to try this out as the color seems to be too bold and bright for my liking. But I was wrong.  It is all about the applying technique.

Apply three dots to the apples of your cheeks and blend quickly with fingertips. Add a few more dots for deeper color. The color turns out to be awesome! A light touch of pink gives me a natural glow from inside out. This is want every girl wanting for.

But I find it a little tough for people like me (makeup beginner) to handle this product well. The stain dries quickly and if I'm not fast enough/dot the stains accurately on the area I wanted, the result wouldn't be appealing.

A word of wisdom: PRACTISE!

 

Makeup Product  7 : Dandelion

Description :
This classic ballerina pink finishing powder (brightening face powder) takes your complexion from dull to radiant in an instant...a celeb fave! Complete with soft, natural-bristle brush. To perk up throughout the day, dust on cheeks or all over complexion.

My Says :
I always like products that reveal a hint of pink to my complexion. This product is just right to me as it comes with a very light natural pink that gives me also a slight shimmer finishing. Thumbs up!

Makeup Product  8 : Stay Don't Stray

Description :
This dual-action power primer works 360° around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadows STAY PUT. Concealers don't crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true...you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

My Says :
It works good as eyes primer to enhance the staying powder of eyeshadows and make it more vibrant. But I noticed that it does not hold and prevent my eyes makeup from smudging/smearing after a long day (I have oily eyelid).

Makeup Product  9 : Big Beautiful Eyes Palette

Description :
An eye contour kit caters all your needs to line, define and contour your eyes like a pro. 

Kit contains of boi-ing 02 (industrial-strength concealer), alabaster pink base shadow, cocoa shimmer contour shadow, rich chocolate brown liner shadow, two brushes for easy application, an illustrated, step-by-step professional makeup lesson

My Says :
A handy kit that contains all you need to create natural eyes makeup. Color pigmentation is fine but I prefer more pigmented.

Makeup Product 10 : BAD Gal Waterproof Mascara

Description :
A long-lasting, smudge-proof, waterproof mascara that packs the same black bad-itude as our original BADgal lash for lashes that perform rain or shine.

My Says :
The mascara applied dries fast allowing me to add multiple coats in a flash. My rating given to this product is average.

Makeup Product 11 : Speed Brow

Description :
Tint, tame and set brows in record time! This brush-on gel dries to a natural-looking finish for instantly beautiful brows. One natural shade dresses up all brows.

My Says :
This is a quick-set brow gel that can quick fix my brows with no mess at all. Brush onto eyebrows in light, upward strokes. With the tip of the wand, trace along brow contour to create a smooth line. It has a brown tint in it that fills the brows a little. This gel totally saved up a lot of my time and keeps my brows stay in shape all day long. Good~

Makeup Product 12 : Posietint

Description :
Liquid-gel formula of poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain blends to just-picked perfection on all complexions and lasts for hours.

My Says :
Works the same as Benetint except for the color. For Posietint, it is a light shade of pink for a more younger, fun finishing.

Makeup Product 13: Ultra Shines

Description :
Gloss just got a nude attitude! The dazzling lip glosses drench your lips in brilliant shine and a burst of juicy color that's NEVER sticky. Now is the time...load up on shine!

My Says :
The color of lip gloss I choose is Foxy Lady (Diamond Rose). Although the lip gloss is with the name of "ultra shines", it is neither too sparkly nor too bright. It also doesn't come with a strong smell that freak me out the most.

Benefit Beauty Workshop - Part 1 (Skincare Products Review)

This is the brand I always hear the raves about. This is the brand I yet to try.

Story-teller: This happened on the last day of April

Waking up almost during lunch time (hey, it's Sunday, a day to have an undisturbed sleep & forget about hateful alarm), I'm so satisfied and I just wanna shout it loud..... I'M FEELING GOOOOD~~

It's Sunday, I'm in a good mood, a good start of my day.. what's next??

Ahak~ Found one latest happening that caught my attention. Benefit (Metrojaya, Mid Valley) is having beauty workshop today..  I have missed the first session which is held in the morning, but there is still a second session in the afternoon. I manage to make an appointment and book a seat few hours before the workshop. Yippe~ I love workshops...

Taking good care of our skin is the priority of everything, and hence, the workshop started off by getting hands-on Benefit skincare range.

By the way, don't you think Benefit's products are adorable? They are well-packaged with FUN & INTERESTING names~ I love their creativity and efforts....  

Skincare Product 1 : Gee... That Was Quick

Description :
Now you see it! Now you don't! This instant makeup remover thoroughly removes makeup from eyes & face without on oily residue. It leaves skin feeling soft, clean, refreshed, and well hydrated. Effectively removes even waterproof makeup without irritating the eyes.

My Says :
I know there will definitely a hands-on session, so I go without any makeup on. Therefore, I can't tell if this product removes all the makeup completely, especially in the case of waterproof makeup. But I did noticed that my skin is refreshed without feeling oily and stickiness.

Skincare Product 2 : Women Seeking Toner

Description :
The lightweight formula is the perfect mix of oat extract to help smooth the skin, meadow sweet extract to help control oiliness, and Vitamin E acetate, known for its antioxidant properties. This delicate toning lotion hydrates, revitalizes and smoothes your complexion. Leaves your skin feel refreshed and smooth in seconds.

My says :
I never resist from using fragrance-scented products as long as the scent is not too strong (I don't want a choke). This toner has light scent which is acceptable for me. This product does a pretty fair job as it controls my skin oiliness and look matte.
 

Skincare Product 3 : Dear John

Description :
Give skin all it deserves by applying this smooth, rich cream (moisturizer) to your face and throat... day or night. Moisturize, soften and smooth your skin with this classic, rich facial cream. Also, helps minimize the appearance of fine lines.

It contains Sodium Hyaluronate (moisturizing properties), Vitamin B5 (soften skin), Vitamin E Acetate (fight against skin aging), Marshmallow Root and Cucumber Extracts (smooth skin).

My says :
I have oily combination skin, so I have to be extra picky in choosing the right moisturizer. Normally I prefer to go for gel-typed moisturizer. My skin doesn't feel greasy at time I put this on. But its description of "rich cream" does little scared me that it might cause me from breakouts.

Skincare Product 4 : EyeCon

Description :

A brightening eye cream that fades dark circles and smoothes fine lines.

My says :

I'm not surprise that it does not cover my dark eye circles as it is NOT a concealer. I don't see the brightening effect as it claimed to be. However, it does soften and hydrate my under eyes area.

Skincare Product 5 : Depuffing Action Eye Gel

Description :

It helps to tone, revitalize and cool the under-eye area. A daily dab will make your eyes look fab! Contains stimulating plant fibers and chamomile and raspberry extracts believed to have a soothing effect.

Tip to use: Apply erase paste under eyes after depuffing action eye gel for an extra brightening boost.

My says :

As my main concern goes treating/covering dark eyes circle, I didn't use this product. Recommend to girls who has puffy-looking eyes.
